Dr. Gerard's office is located in the Royal Palm Plaza in downtown Boca Raton, directly above what used to be Jan McArt's Royal Palm Dinner Theater, currently 'Synergy Fitness Center'. It is approximately a block South of Palmetto Park Rd. and a block East of Federal Highway 1.

Dr. Gerard attended college and graduate school at the University of California in Santa Barbara. He then attended New York University College of Dentistry in Manhattan, NY for 1 year. Dr. Gerard then transferred to Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI, aspiring to train toward the 1984 US Olympic seedskating Team. After graduating in 1982, Dr. Gerard completed a Residency at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY. In 1986, he relocated to South Florida and opened his current private practice in 1988.

Dr. Gerard has a General Dentistry practice, with an emphasis on Cosmetic Dentistry and Implant Prosthodontics. Cosmetic Dentistry involves using relatively new bonding and ceramic technologies to makeover a person's smile, allowing us to give the patient whiter, younger and healthier-looking teeth with proportions to better match their face:

Implant Prosthodontics involves replacing a patient's missing teeth using dental implants to function as "artificial roots". These can then support the replacement teeth, either as individual crowns or briges.

For patients who may be missing only a single tooth, an implant - supported crown is often the ideal solution, allowing us to basically "put the tooth back" without having to resort to cutting down adjacent teeth to make a bridge.

For patients who are missing all their back teeth on one side, an implant - supported bridge is usually a very straight-forward way of avoiding the need for a removable partial denture.

For those patients whose teeth are failing due to severe periodontal disease, or who can no longer tolerate their full dentures, we can now predictably place dental implants and deliver a cemented, non-removable bridge within 24 hours , thus avoiding the need to ever be without teeth:
