Sedation Dentistry - offers pain-free and anxiety-free dental procedures
for patients who fear dental procedures or needles, have difficulty with
their gag reflex, have very sensitive teeth or have difficulty becoming
numb. It also provides an opportunity to perform multiple or lengthy dental
procedures in a single session for people with a limited amount of time.
Sedation dentistry requires that the patient take a prescribed medication
about one hour before the scheduled visit. The patient arrives in a deeply
relaxed state, thought fully responsive. During the procedures the patient
is conscious but may have little or no memory of treatment.
We also offer IV (Intravenous) dental sedation in addition to oral sedation. Sedative medication is slowly administered to you through an IV line into a small blood vessel in your hand and you quickly become relaxed and comfortable. We can completely control your level of sedation from light to deep sedation and there is no memory of the experience afterwards. This relaxation method is just another way we do everything possible to make your dental care as easy and stress free as possible.
Dr. Peltzer also offers IV Conscious Sedation in addition to Oral Conscious Sedation and has obtained advanced training at the Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City for the administration of Intravenous Conscious Sedation.
Laser Dentistry - the revolutionary, innovative, PowerLaseAT system is one
of the truly important advances in modern dentistry. Our dental laser uses
laser-energized water to accomplish the work of traditional drills,
virtually eliminating the pain and discomfort that have been associated with
dental treatment in the past. The laser produces no heat or vibration and
is extremely quiet. Treatment can often be completed with out the need for
local anesthetics.
Invisalign Invisible Braces - use a series of clear (almost invisible),
removable, custom-made aligners to straighten teeth. Treatment averages
only a year, and unlike traditional braces, the clear aligners can be
removed while you eat and brush your teeth as usual.
